Sensorimotor Learning for Control of Prosthetic Limbs – EP/R004242/1
“Acquiring a new skill, for example learning to use chopsticks, requires accurate motor commands to be sent from the brain to the hand, and reliable sensory feedback from the hand to the brain. Inspired by this sensorimotor interplay, this project aims to utilise the flexibility of the brain in learning to control a prosthetic hand. Supported by a multi-disciplinary network of collaborators, the research will culminate in a clinical trial involving people with limb reduction.” K. Nazarpour
